Biển bao la sao bằng tình Mẹ
Núi cao đâu sánh được lòng CHA
Công cha nghĩa mẹ như trời biển
Nhớ đó luôn ghi giữ nếp nhà!
Ngược xuôi vạn nẻo đường sương gió
Tần tảo bao năm đến mỏi mòn
Mưa nắng sá chi trời gió bão
Chỉ vì hạnh phúc của đàn con!
Mắt cha đẫm lệ biết bao lần
Gian khổ đau thương chẳng ngại ngần
Nửa trả ơn đời ơn đất nước
Nửa phần cho trẻ đẹp ngày xuân
Cha chẳng đòi con chuyện báo đền
Chỉ mong con trẻ “được làm nên”
Trai thời giữ trọn lòng trung nghĩa
Gái tấm kiên trinh gắng vững bền!
Đó chính nỗi niềm mãi ước mong
Các con lớn bé hiểu hay không?
Lòng cha trọn kiếp bên đàn trẻ
Cao rộng còn hơn cả núi sông!

DAD’S HEART
The ocean is vast but not so as a mother’s love,
No mountain can be high as a father’s heart above.
The merit of father & mother is like the sky & sea,
We remember it to always keep the family’s key!
Up and down thousands of windy & misty roads,
After years of working hard, we got tired of loads.
Rain, sun, storms, such difficulties always accrued
Just for the happiness of you, our brood!
Your father’s eyes filled with tears so many a time,
Not hesitating to bear, in hardship & pain to chime.
Half to repay the gratitude to life and the clime,
Half to build for my beautiful children their prime.
I don’t ask you to pay me back, contrived,
But just hope that all my children “have arrived.”
As men, always maintain their loyalty, drive;
And girls, with a strong heart, steadfast to strive.
That’s what I have always nurtured my stand.
Children, big and small, do you understand?
My heart, a father’s, is forever my children’s giver,
Taller than any mountain & wider than any river!
